Send selected transactional email through your own SendGrid account.

Before you start

A SendGrid account with Mail Send access, a verified sender and signed Event Webhook configuration.

Set up

Open the App Store, install SendGrid, and open its settings. Save the API key, sender details, account region and Event Webhook verification public key. Configure the store’s delivery notification address in SendGrid. Validate and enable the app, then send a test to your own address. To email customers through SendGrid as well, turn on Send order notifications to customers in the settings.

Settings

Use the account identifiers and credentials issued for this connection. Save secret values only in the app’s credential fields. Keep test and production account details together.

Scope and limits

This app adds a separate transactional delivery choice; installation does not reroute all store email. Staff alerts go to the staff recipients you save. Customer order notifications stay off until you turn them on, and they arrive in addition to the store’s own email, so a customer gets both. Delivery events are recorded for each message but are not shown in the admin, so check delivery in SendGrid. Marketing campaigns are not sent through this connection. After an uncertain send, check SendGrid before sending again.

Troubleshooting

Check that the app is enabled, required settings are saved and the external account has the necessary access. If an operation has an uncertain outcome, check the external account before repeating it.
