Run controlled storefront experiments and measure their conversion goals.
Before you start
An Inspectlet account with experimentation access and a configured site.
Set up
Open the App Store, install Inspectlet experiments, and open its settings. Create and deploy the experiment in Inspectlet, including its targeting and custom event goals, and choose the regular loader. Turn session recording off for this site in your Inspectlet account. Save the numeric site ID in Poltura, enable the app and test the published experiment on a public page.
Settings
Use the account identifiers and credentials issued for this connection. Save secret values only in the app’s credential fields. Keep test and production account details together.
Scope and limits
Experiments start only after analytics consent. Checkout, account and order pages are excluded. Variants and results are managed in Inspectlet.
Because the regular loader keeps the store visible while consent is collected, a visitor can briefly see the original page before a variation applies.
Poltura reports these goals to Inspectlet: add to cart, add to wishlist, search and lead. Purchases are not reported, because the order confirmation page is excluded from experiments, so you cannot measure purchases as a goal here.
Troubleshooting
Check that the app is enabled, required settings are saved and the external account has the necessary access. If an operation has an uncertain outcome, check the external account before repeating it.
