If your shop is not on the list, or you only have spreadsheets, import from files. Poltura reads CSV, TSV and Excel files and matches the columns for you.
What you can bring
- Products. Rows that belong to one product, such as its variants, are grouped into one.
- Categories, customers and redirects.
- Past orders, with their lines, which go to a read-only order archive.
Drop the files
Open Settings, choose Import and pick Something else (CSV or Excel).

Something else is always the last choice. Drop your files. Several files at once work.
Poltura shows what it recognized in each. For a table it does not recognize, choose Match columns.
On the matching screen, check the columns we could not place. Each column gets the field it fills, with three sample values to help, and a preview of the first rows.
A file from Shopify, WooCommerce, Shoprenter or UNAS is recognized on its own and needs no matching.
Matching
Columns that fill no field can become product attributes: under Matching in Change what to import, choose them. Customer tags can become customer groups.
Bring over what changed later
When you have a newer file, start a new import and drop it. If the file names the same shop, records that did not change stay as they are, and the ones you edited here are kept. Records changed in both places are listed for you to choose from.
To hide the products that are not in the newer file, switch on Hide products that disappeared from your files. They are hidden, never deleted.
When you have switched
Choose Finish moving on the Done step. It deletes our copy of your files and keeps your redirects and everything imported.
You can tick Invite my customers to set a password. Poltura then emails the customers it brought, so they can set a password for their account here. You can preview the email first. It is never sent by itself. It goes out only when you tick it, in small batches, 500 customers on the first day and a bit more each day after, so it stays out of spam.
If something goes wrong
- A column has no match. Choose the field it fills, or leave it out.
- A price is wrong. Prices are read in your store's currency. Check the currency on the Review step.
- Something still does not work. Contact Poltura support.
