# Pages, blog and content

Write and publish pages, blog posts, guides, FAQ answers and legal pages in one place, in every language of your store.

- Where: Online store → Content

**Content** is the one place for everything you write for your store: pages such as About us or Shipping, blog posts, how-to guides, FAQ questions and legal pages. Each kind shows up in its own spot on the store. They all share the same list and the same editor.

![The Content list with entries, each showing its title, the number of languages, its status, its type and when it was updated](https://docs.poltura.com/screenshots/en/online-store/content.webp)

_Every entry you write is in this one list, whatever its type._

## The five kinds of content

- **Page**: a page customers open from menus and links, like About us. A page can sit under another page as a subpage.
- **Blog post**: news, launches and stories, grouped in categories.
- **Guide**: how-to help that can also show on product pages.
- **FAQ question**: a question and its answer on your FAQ page.
- **Legal page**: terms, privacy and other policies, each with its version history.

The type decides where the entry shows on your store, and it cannot be changed later.

## Find your way around the list

Open **Online store** and choose **Content**. The tabs **All**, **Pages**, **Blog**, **Guides**, **FAQ** and **Legal** filter by kind. You can search, and filter by status with the chips:

- **Draft**: not on your store.
- **Scheduled**: published with a date in the future.
- **Live**: on your store now.
- **Archived**: taken off the store but kept.

When your store has more than one language, the **Languages** column shows which ones each entry exists in.

## Write something new

1. Open **Online store** and choose **Content**.
2. Choose **New**.
3. Under **What do you want to write?**, pick the type. If you are already on a tab such as **Blog**, the new entry is of that kind straight away.
4. Type the **Title** and write the **Body**. For an FAQ entry these are the **Question** and the **Answer**.
5. Fill in the blocks beside the text. They depend on the type and are described below.
6. Set **Status** to **Published**. Leave **Publish date** empty to publish now, or set a future date to schedule it.
7. Choose **Create**. The entry is on your store, at the address shown under **On your store**.

To keep working on it in private, leave the status on **Draft**.

### Write the body

The body is a rich text editor. Type `/` on an empty line to insert a block: headings, lists and checklists, quotes, dividers, images, tables and code blocks. Images can be uploaded, picked from the media library or linked, with a description and alignment.

### The blocks beside the text

- **Web address**: the last part of the entry's address. It is filled from the title if you leave it blank. Use lowercase letters, numbers and hyphens.
- **Summary and cover**: a short line shown under the title in lists, and an image shown at the top and in lists.
- **Search engine listing**: the **Page title** and **Description** for search results. See [SEO and sharing](https://docs.poltura.com/en/online-store/seo-and-sharing/).
- **Category** (blog posts and guides) or **Group** (FAQ questions): where the entry is filed.
- **Parent page** (pages): makes the page a subpage of a top-level page.
- **Author** (blog posts): who wrote it.
- **Shown on products** (guides): the products and product categories whose pages show the guide.
- **Files and links**: files customers can download and links they can open beside the text.
- **Layout** (pages): **Edit layout in the customizer** arranges the sections shown around the page's text.

## Edit, unpublish or delete

1. Open **Online store**, choose **Content** and click the entry's title.
2. Change what you need.
3. Choose **Save**. A **Saved.** notice confirms it, and a live entry changes on your store at once.

- **Unpublish** puts a live entry back to draft and takes it off your store.
- Setting **Status** to **Archived** takes it off the store but keeps it in the list.

> **Warning**
>
> **Delete** removes the entry for good. This cannot be undone.

### Translate an entry

Each entry has a language switcher. The language you first wrote it in is the original. Every other language shows whether its translation is up to date, needs an update or does not exist yet.

1. Open the entry and switch to the language you want.
2. Type the translation, or choose **Auto-translate** to have it written for you.
3. Choose **Save**.

Switch **Translate when publishing** on if you want new languages filled automatically each time you publish. Until a translation exists, shoppers see the original text. Auto-translate uses [AI credits](https://docs.poltura.com/en/assistant/ai-credits/).

## Organize with categories and groups

Blog posts and guides are filed in categories. FAQ questions are filed in groups, which become the headings on your FAQ page.

1. Open **Online store**, choose **Content** and open the **Blog**, **Guides** or **FAQ** tab.
2. Choose **Categories** (on the FAQ tab: **Groups**).
3. Choose **New category** or **New group**.
4. Type the **Name**. The **Web address** is filled from the name if you leave it blank. Add a **Description** if you like.
5. Keep **Shown on your store** on, then save.
6. Drag the rows to set their order on your store, and choose **Save order**.

A hidden category keeps its entries off your store's lists. A category cannot be deleted while it still has entries: move or delete those first.

On the **FAQ** tab you can also drag the questions themselves to set their order on the FAQ page, then choose **Save order**.

## Legal pages and their versions

A legal page is one of **Terms of service**, **Privacy policy**, **Cookie policy**, **Imprint** or **Terms of use**. Instead of overwriting the text, you publish versions. So you always know which text was in force when.

1. Create a **Legal page**, choose the **Policy** and write the text.
2. Give the version a name under **Version**, for example `2026-10`.
3. Choose **Publish** and set **In force from**. Customers see this version from the start of that day in your store's time zone.
4. When the policy changes, open it and choose **New version**. This copies the text, files and translations into a new draft.
5. Edit the draft and publish it with its own date. The version in force now stays until then.

A version can carry a **PDF** that customers download beside the text. Each version is **Draft**, **Scheduled**, **In force**, **Replaced** or **Archived**. A policy can apply to all markets and online stores or to one. Customers open legal pages from your store's footer.

> **Good to know**
>
> If you already have a policy, do not create a second legal page for it. Open it and start a new version, so its history stays together.

## Show guides on product pages

A guide appears on the products you link it to. It also appears on every product in the linked categories, and on products with linked attribute values. You can also link from the other side. On a product's page, the **Guides** card has **Link guides**. Guides linked on the product itself come first, then those of its categories, then those tied to its attributes.

## Good to know

- A page can only sit under a top-level page, and a page that has subpages stays at the top level.
- A web address that belongs to a built-in store page cannot be used. Pick another one.
- To put a page into your navigation, add it on the [Menus](https://docs.poltura.com/en/online-store/menus/) page. A **Pages menu** item lists your pages automatically.
- The blog, guides, FAQ and legal pages have their own templates in the [customizer](https://docs.poltura.com/en/online-store/customizer/), so you can design the page around the text.
- The number of languages depends on your [plan](https://docs.poltura.com/en/settings/plan/).

## If something goes wrong

- **"Another entry already uses this web address."** Change the web address.
- **"Pick a category to give it a web address."** A blog post or guide needs a category before it has an address.
- **"Set the day this version comes into force before publishing it."** Fill in **In force from** on the legal version.
- **"Publish a theme to arrange this page's layout."** The layout editor needs a published theme. See [Themes](https://docs.poltura.com/en/online-store/themes/#publish).
- **"Some languages could not be translated."** Try again in a moment.
